The Bearberry also known as Arctostaphylos uva-ursi is a genus of Dicotyledonous Angiosperm plants that belongs to the family Ericaceae. The genus includes about 70 species found mainly in Central and North America. It is a small evergreen shrub with small glossy leaves and white or pink flowers. Its fruits are crimson and shiny and have a sour taste. Making Tea: It is prepared as an infusion. Put 1 tea spoon of the dried herb in a cup of boiling water and leave it for 10-15 minutes before serving. Drink up to three times a day.
